Missing Sisters, 89 and 85, Found Safe, Montgomery County Police Say

Update: Two missing sisters in their 80s, Geraldine Costello and Dolores Kashewka, have been found safe and unharmed, Montgomery County Police announced Friday morning.


Original Story: Police are asking for the public's help to find two sisters in their 80s who are missing in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Geraldine Evelyn Costello, 85, and Delores Pauline Kashewka, 89, left their home in the 200 block of Booth Street in Gaithersburg Tuesday morning to go shopping.

Costello suffers from a cognitive impairment. She was driving a 2007 ivory colored Lincoln MKX with Maryland tag 4AF7706 and Kashewka was a passenger in the car.

Police described Costello as a white woman who is 5 feet 1 inch and weighs about 155 pounds. Kashewka is a white woman who is about 5 feet 4 inches and 120 pounds.

Both women have short gray hair. It's not clear what they were wearing.

Police are asking that anyone who may have seen the missing sisters or their car to call 301-279-8000 or dial 911.
