Water was overflowing at the fountain in Dupont Circle Sunday.
Most of the ground surrounding the fountain appeared to be saturated and flooded as water continued to flow off of the fountain's base.
The National Park Service said maintenance and Park Police went and checked out the fountain, but didn’t believe there was any significant issue.
