Dunbar High School in Northwest D.C. was briefly evacuated Thursday morning because of a problem with hazardous materials.
The school at 101 N St. NW was evacuated because of "fumes from fuel-soaked soil at [a] construction site, the D.C. fire department said on Twitter.
First-responders evaluated one school employee for medical issues.
Students and staff members were allowed back into the school by mid-morning.
