Divers Find Bodies of Two Missing Men in Rappahannok River

Divers found the bodies of two men who were reported missing after their boat capsized in the Rappahannock River Saturday.

The accident happened Saturday morning near the town of Tappahannock in Essex County, Va.

The Coast Guard says a resident saw the 15-foot boat, got into his own boat and was able to save a third man. The rescued man said the others were not wearing life jackets when the boat capsized. Once on shore, they called for help.

Shortly after he was rescued, the Coast Guard says, the survivor reportedly suffered a heart attack and was taken to an area hospital.

Virginia Marine Police divers spent about five hours looking for the bodies. The names of the deceased have not been released.
