Body Found in Burning Vehicle

Prince George's County police are investigating a body found Wednesday morning in a burning car.

Fire crews responded to the call for a vehicle on fire at 4:40 a.m., on the 5600 block of Jefferson Heights Drive in Fairmount Heights.

News4's Melissa Mollet reports the vehicle was a black Lincoln sedan without any tags, parked on the wrong side of the road.  Everything in the interior had melted.  Police said the body was discovered in the trunk.

The heat from the fire was so intense that tree branches 30 feet over the car were charred.

Authorities identified the victim as 34-year-old Antwain Henderson, of Capitol Heights.
