Local law enforcement officials will be taking orders and bussing tables Saturday for charity.

The officers are taking part in the Tip-A-Cop program, a fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics of Virginia foundation.

Officers will be donating their time at Red Robin restaurants across northern Virginia.  When diners tip at the end of their meals, the money will go as a donation to the Special Olympics.  You can find them, starting at 11 a.m., at Red Robin locations in: Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Sowder Village Square in Manassas, Liberia Avenue in Manassas, the Fairlakes Shopping Center in Fairfax, Chantilly Crossing, the Dulles Town Center, and on Yukon Drive in Ashburn.

Last year, Virginia police officers were able to raise over $20,000 for the Special Olympics through different programs.

Officer do not keep any of the tips.
