Culpeper K-9 Police Officer Saves Baby's Life

A Culpeper police officer, who saved the life of a 1-month-old baby girl, said he didn't think it was that big of a deal.

K-9 Officer David Cole responded to a call of an unconscious infant, named Alexa Rosales, at a Culpeper home. Cole said when he arrived at the house, the father met him with Alexa, who was unresponsive and not breathing after choking on milk. The baby's father had already tried CPR without success.

Cole, trained in infant CPR, reacted immediately and was able to successfully clear her airway. The infant immediately became responsive.

Alexa was taken to the hospital for a full medical evaluation and released a few hours later.

The next day, Cole stopped by the house to check on the infant and bring her a stuffed animal, her very own K-9 protector.
