The 10-mile stretch of Interstate 66 inside the Beltway could cost commuters $16 per day beginning in 2017, WTOP reports.
Fairfax County lawmakers will discuss a plan with VDOT later this month.
The price would change depending on traffic but could be as much as $7 in the morning and $9 on the way home.
Vehicles with two or more riders will not have to pay.
