2-4 Inches of Snow Expected in DC; 4-8 Inches Possible in Southern Maryland

UPDATE: This story is no longer being updated. See here for Storm Team4's latest coverage.

SNOW IS COMING.

Storm Team4 is forecasting 2 to 4 inches of snow in the D.C. metro area and areas to the north and west on Saturday, and 4 to 8 inches to the south and east.

Areas that can expect the most snow include Calvert County, Charles County and St. Mary's County, Maryland. Initially, the data showed that those areas could only expect 2 to 4 inches, but it now looks like more is on the way.

Many roads in our area have been pretreated. Storm Team4 says to expect slick spots on small roads. Larger roads should be OK. Also, power outages are possible.

Snow is expected to begin to fall overnight in D.C.

Since this is our first chance of snow this season and it could potentially affect  your day, Saturday will be a Storm Team4 Weather Alert Day.

The colder-than-average weather will continue into next weekend as well, Storm Team4 says.
