One immigrants’ rights group is running out of patience with President Barack Obama.
Gustavo Torres, the head of CASA de Maryland, said “time is running out” for positive signs from the White House.
Torres and other community leaders met with the president Monday. The group asked the commander-in-chief to put forward an immigration reform plan by the end of the year.
Obama said he would deliver a speech soon on immigration reform. Torres said he appreciates the president’s commitment but hopes he acts soon.
