Capitals' TJ Oshie Out for ‘Quite Some Time' After Game 4 Injury

Oshie crashed into the wall after contact with Carolina forward Warren Foegele

T.J. Oshie suffered an injury that will put him out of games after an opponent forward made contact during Game 4 and sent him crashing into the boards of the offensive zone, NBC Sports Washington reports.

Oshie yelled out in pain and lay on the ice for several minutes before he was helped to the X-ray at Raleigh's PNC Arena by two medical personnel, NBC Sports Washington reported.

Carolina forward Warren Foegele received a 2-minute penalty for the contact with Oshie.

It was a tough game for The Capitals, who fell 2-1 to the Carolina Hurricanes and lost their series lead. The team heads home for Game 5 on Saturday, but Metro-riding likely won't be with them.

Oshie will be out “for quite some time,” said Capitals coach Todd Reirden.
