The body of 41-year-old Benjamin Delano Kirby Jr. of Annapolis was found early Tuesday morning in a driveway near his taxi minivan, Anne Arundel County police said.
Officers went to the scene in Crownsville after a passerby reported that the vehicle was unoccupied and looked suspicious.
Police found blood inside the vehicle and other evidence of a struggle. The meter was still running.
Kirby's body was found after a brief search. He suffered trauma to the upper body, police said.
Police don't have any suspects and are trying to determine whether the slaying was random or if Kirby was targeted.
