A body was found in Constitution Gardens Park Tuesday morning just east of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial.
Park Police officers found a man's body in a portable restroom in the park area between the 1900 block of Constitution Avenue and the lake of Constitution Gardens.
D.C. Police and Park Police are investigating. The death does not appear to be suspicious. The man may be homeless.
On Monday, 350 D.C. elementary school students went fishing in the lake at Constitution Gardens as part of a program sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
