A woman's body was discovered in a trash can in the Randle Highlands area of Southeast D.C. Monday afternoon, police say.
A worker cleaning up behind an apartment building at 1616 27th Street SE opened up the trash can and found the woman's body, the property manager of the apartment building told News4.
The property manager said the trash can didn't belong to the property and all of her tenants were accounted for.
Investigators with the medical examiner's office spent a lengthy amount of time in the alley before removing the body.
