Attorney General's Office Produces Drug Abuse Documentary

The Virginia Attorney General's Office has produced a documentary about the dangers of heroin and prescription drug abuse.

The film is titled "Heroin: The Hardest Hit.'' The attorney general's office says it Virginians telling their own stories of addiction, overdose and recovery, along with testimony from parents who lost their children to an overdose. Law enforcement and medical officials also explain how they are working to address the problem.

The movie will be available free of charge to schools and other organizations.

A public premiere is set for Dec. 2 at the Library of Virginia in Richmond. That will be followed by screenings in Culpeper and Virginia Beach on Dec. 3, Winchester on Dec. 8, Roanoke on Dec. 10 and Arlington on Dec. 15.
