Assault Weapon Seized From Man Who Skipped Metro Fare: Police

Two guns were seized from a man who tried to skip paying his fare at the Pentagon City Metro station, police say.

Malike Razon Brittain, 24, of Clinton, Maryland, was stopped for fare evasion Thursday, Metro Transit Police said. He refused to give his ID to police for a citation and was arrested, police say.

When police searched him, officers found one assault pistol-rifle and a revolver, police said. They also reported finding crack cocaine and a prescription drug with codeine.

Brittain faces charges including two counts of carrying a concealed firearm, possession with intent to distribute, defacing a firearm serial number and fare evasion.

Brittain was ordered held without bond, according to police.
