More than month after a 29-year-old man was gunned down in Southeast Washington, police have made an arrest in the case.
Charles Wennen Young, 26, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder while armed, a police report says.
Kenneth Poindexter, 29, was killed Jan. 20 in the 4700 block of Benning Road, close to H.D. Woodson High School.
Officers found Poindexter’s body after responding to a call about a shooting. He had multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived, a police report said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
