Arrest Made in 2013 Southeast Triple Shooting

Southeast has seen a recent rash in shootings

Police have made an arrest in a triple shooting that left two men dead in southeast D.C. in July 2013.

Officers from the Sixth District Patrol Support Team were in the 300 block of Ridge Road SE on July 17, 2013 when they heard gunshots around 11:39 p.m. At the scene, they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Nineteen-year-old Anthony Chase of Southeast was pronounced dead at the scene. Eric Leeper, 27, of Southeast died at an area hospital from his injuries. Police say the third victim suffered gunshot wounds to the buttocks, leg and arm.

Carlton Maurice Johnso, 22, was arrested April 15 and charged with first degree murder while armed in connection with their deaths.
