Man Charged in Death of Couple Found Shot in Burtonsville

One suspect was charged with murder. Another man believed to have been involved was killed by police in a separate incident

A man has been charged in the deaths of a man and woman found fatally shot in a car last month in Burtonsville, Maryland, after shell casings found at the scene matched those found near a West Virginia nightclub, police say.

Gregory Terrell Jones, 24, of Martinsville, West Virginia, was arrested in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Ashley Dickinson and Joshua Frazier. Dickinson was 34, and Frazier was 29.

Another suspect in the murders, Gregory Jones' 25-year-old cousin Tyshon Jones, was shot and killed by police last month, police said.

Police say Gregory Jones and Tyshon Jones traveled to meet Frazier in Burtonsville on Thursday, Feb. 15 to pay him for a previous heroin sale.

Dickinson and Frazier were found dead in Dickinson's Audi later that night.

Information was not immediately released on who police believe was the shooter.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a resident saw a car parked and running on Aldora Circle. Two people inside appeared to be dead.

Two days later, on Feb. 17, Tyshon Jones and Gregory Jones were involved in a shooting outside the Coco Loco nightclub in Berkeley County, West Virginia, that ended in Tyshon Jones' death, police said.

Gregory Jones fired rounds from a 9 mm handgun and fled the scene, according to police.

Tyshon Jones fired shots from a .45-caliber handgun and was shot dead by local police, Montgomery County police said.

Police say they recovered the .45-caliber gun and a shell casing from the 9 mm gun allegedly fired by Gregory Jones.

That shell casing was fired from the same gun as a shell discovered where Frazier and Dickinson were found dead, police said.

Dickinson worked in human resources and lived in Alexandria, Virginia, more than 30 miles south of where her body was found.

"She was a caring and loving person," her devastated father previously told News4.

Frazier worked as a personal trainer and had previously served six years in prison for a murder he committed in 2008.

His friend Keyontae Siggal previously said he couldn't believe Frazier had died.

"I was just looking at the text over and over again, trying to get it through my head. I had just seen them," he said.

Frazier lived with his family in Woodbridge, Virginia, his friend said.

Gregory Jones is being held without bond.
