Red Line Trains Delayed Due to Arcing Insulator

A section of Metro's Red Line was single-tracking Wednesday evening because of an arcing insulator.

Train service initially was suspended between the Medical Center and Twinbrook stations.

Trains are no longer single-tracking between the two stations. Metro is telling riders to expect residual delays in both directions.

Shuttle service is available, Metro said.

The arcing insulator was outside the Grosvenor station.
