4 Injured After Ambulance Crashes Into Tanker in Stafford County

Four people were injured when an ambulance crashed into a tanker truck along a Stafford County road Tuesday morning, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office says.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. in the area of Warrenton and Hartwood roads in Hartford. The force of the crash left the ambulance on its side.

There were three ambulance crew members and a patient inside the ambulance at the time of the crash, but all four were able to get out of the vehicle.

The sheriff's office initially called the tanker involved an oil tanker, but authorities later said it was carrying cranberry juice.

All four people were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are not known.

The driver of the tanker refused treatment.

No further information about the crash has been released.
