A new app that will allow D.C. residents to get beer, wine and liquor without leaving the comfort of their home is set to launch Thursday.
"Drizly" was one of two alcohol companies declared legal by city regulators last month.
The smartphone app acts as a middleman, providing websites and smartphone apps that allow customers to order beer, wine or liquor. That's why they were found to be legal.
Drizly joins "Klink," which was already operating in the District.
Both services use scanning devices to verify that customers are over 21.
Drizly say delivery will take 20 to 40 minutes and cost customers $5 on top of their alcohol purchase.
