Air Force Officer Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

A non-commissioned Air Force officer pleaded guilty Monday to six counts of sexually exploiting a minor to produce child pornography.

In August, an undercover officer found 44-year-old William S. Gazafi on a website about incest, according to court documents.

In a chat with the undercover officer, Gazafi bragged about drugging and molesting several children, including an infant, according to the government. Gazafi, a non-commissioned officer at Andrews Air Force Base, sent seven pictures, including three of child pornography that Gazafi said he took after drugging the child.

After his arrest, examination of his digital media devices revealed videos and pictures depicting children in explicit conduct, authorities said. One of the children in the evidence was as young as five months old. Some of the images depicted children bound while sleeping.

Gazafi faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 on each of the six counts and, if released, a lifetime of supervision. Sentencing is scheduled for June 23.
