Free Career Fair to Be Held in DC Area

Job seekers are invited to attend a free career fair in the D.C. area on May 17 for positions that will be available across different industries.

The National Career Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Hall Ballroom at the DoubleTree Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Dr. in Arlington, Virginia.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, U.S. Army, three Cumulus radio stations and Bray and Scarff Appliance and Kitchen Specialists are among the companies expected to attend.

"Careers represented generally include sales, customer service, accounting, banking, finance, administrative, insurance, restaurant retail and more," said career fair spokes woman Rachelle Littlefield. "Job opportunities are based on the hiring needs of attending employers."

As many as 15 vendors could register for the career fair, and the most recent event in March had 11. The event takes place every other month this year.

More information about additional vendors and the specific positions available will be released a week before the event in May.
