Zach Lederer is back in the hospital for round two of chemotherapy for a brain tumor, but the University of Maryland student is Zaching his way to proving that “bald is beautiful.”
Zach said he got through his first round of treatment with very few side effects.
He’s in great spirits and a big part of it is thanks to all the Zaching photos he’s received. Since January, thousands of people around the world have sent Zach their strongman poses after a pic of his pose from his hospital bed was posted on Facebook.
Zach Zached again Tuesday, this time with his beautiful bald head on display.
Other hospital patients have approached the University of Maryland basketball team manager, telling him they’ve felt encouraged and inspired by the outpouring of support.
Zach felt inspired, too, and began a non-profit organization, Zaching Against Cancer. He hopes to provide support, strength and inspiration to other cancer patients and their loved ones.
While he’s at Johns Hopkins, Zach said, he’ll have a total of five rounds of chemotherapy, followed by another six weeks of radiation.
