    A number of people worked to rescue the man.

    Rescuers saved a man trapped in a trench in Germantown, Maryland, Tuesday afternoon.

    A worker was trapped up to his chest in dirt in the area of Germanton Road and Wisteria Road.

    Montgomery County Fire and Rescue and Montgomery County Collapse Rescue teams managed to get him out of the trench after he was trapped for about an hour.

    He has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
