The region's run of sunny weather appears set to end.
After nearly a full week of blue skies, rain is forecast to roll into the area beginning late Monday.
Storm4 meteorologist Chuck Bell says that the heaviest rain will fall Tuesday and most of the area will get between one and three inches of rainfall by the time the approaching low pressure system passes. The rain is expected to be gone for good by noon Wednesday.
The heaviest rain is expected to fall in the higher elevations west of the city. The weather will also bring with it a chance of thunderstorms, especially on Tuesday.
