Woodbridge Man Wanted in Coke Ring Bust

FBI offering reward for info leading to fugitive suspect

A 33-year-old Woodbridge man thought to be a key player in a cocaine distribution ring has been placed on fugitive status by the Prince William County Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Police have arrested several others who they identified as key low-level distributors.

Police and the FBI had been investigating the ring since April 2007, officials revealed during a press conference Monday afternoon. Prince William County authorities asked for the FBI's involvement when they determined that large amounts of cocaine were being trafficked into the eastern part of the county.

The cocaine allegedly came from the Chicago area. Police said 35-year-old Demont Story regularly began buying large amounts of cocaine from Lynnwood, Ill. resident Terrell Lowry back in 2004. Story then used his 61-year-old uncle, Dennis Story, to bring the drugs back to Prince William County. Demont Story allegedly distributed the cocaine to more than a dozen county residents.

One of those residents is 33-year-old Gary Lewis, who police are still searching for. He is charged with conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more of a substance containing cocaine in Virginia. Lowry and Demont Story face the same charge.

A financial reward is being offered for information on Lewis' whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Washington Field Office at 202-278-2000.
