A teacher at Fred Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge, Va. was arrested on assault charges Wednesday.
Police said 61-year-old Curtis Craig Smith was charged after a 13-year-old male student accused Smith of assaulting him during class, causing a minor injury to his arm.
Smit, who teaches technology education courses, was released on court summons and an arraignment is forthcoming.
