$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Woodbridge

If you bought a Powerball ticket in Northern Virginia this week, you may want to double check your ticket.

A ticket sold at the 7-Eleven at 14116 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge is now worth $1 million after Wednesday's drawing.

The winning ticket matched the first five numbers in the drawing, 5-8-15-22-49, and only missed the Powerball number, 25.

The winner has has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.

Before doing anything else, Virginia Lottery officials said the winner should immediately sign the back of his or her ticket and, when ready, contact the Virginia Lottery. For more information about claiming prizes, see Powerball's website.

The 7-Eleven where the winning ticket was sold will earn a $10,000 bonus.
