A man killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend has been identified as Miguel Fernando Capela, 49, of Woodbridge, Virginia.
Authorities arrived on the scene of the crash at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities say Capela was driving a 1999 Kawasaki ZX9R motorcycle east on Mathews Drive at a reported high rate of speed when he lost control and struck two unoccupied vehicles.
Capela was transported to an area hospital, where he died.
No one else was reported injured.
Capela was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and alcohol and drug use were not factors, authorities said.
