Arrest in Woodbridge Bank Robbery

Surveillance cameras captured pictures of a man at the SunTrust bank at 13408 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank and approached a teller. Once at the counter, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing on foot toward the VRE station.

No one was hurt. Police did search the area near the bank with officers and K-9 units but the suspect was never located.

A citizen saw the surveillance images and told police the man might be at the Roadway inn at 13964 Jefferson Davis Highway.

Mincey was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appaer in court Jan. 23.
