Officials in Fairfax County say a woman has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she fell off a cliff on Georgetown Pike in McLean.
Radio station WTOP reports the woman fell about 40 feet a little before noon on Sunday. The Fairfax County Fire Department says the woman was awake and talking after the accident but that her injuries are considered life-threatening.
The radio station says the accident happened near Scott's Run Nature Preserve.
