Woman Struck by Car in Parking Space Argument: Police

A woman’s being held on $1 million bail after allegedly striking another woman with her car during an argument over a parking space, police said.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday, Baltimore County police received reports of a fight and a pedestrian struck near the Staples store at the Avenue in the 8100 block of Honeygo Boulevard.

Brandy Tennille Ames, 35, apparently was angry because she thought a 24-year-old driver of a Volkswagen took her parking space, police said. During their argument, Ames punched the other woman, police said.

The violence escalated from there, according to police. She got back in to her Oldsmobile and drove it in to the victim, pinning her against another car in the lot.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and a witness also struck by the Oldsmobile was not taken to a hospital.

Ames was arrested at her home Monday morning. She is charged with first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and traffic charges.
