A 84-year-old woman struck by a vehicle in McLean, Va. on Thursday has died of her injuries.
Elvira Slijepcevic of McLean was hit by a 2008 Dodge Charger in the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Laughlin Avenue around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
Slijepcevic was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
The 56-year-old driver of the Charger remained at the scene.
Police say speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the accident. The cause remains under investigation.
