An 84-year-old woman was struck and killed when a school bus operated by her son hit her while he was backing it into his driveway, Maryland State Police said.
After the accident Wednesday morning, Virginia Hammond was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where she died.
Ronald Hammond, 60, had finished his morning route and was backing the school bus into his driveway when Virginia Hammond walked behind the vehicle and was hit, troopers said.
The accident is under investigation.
