A woman died after being stabbed in the back by another woman Monday morning in Congress Heights, according to police.
The stabbing allegedly happened before 9:30 a.m. in the victim’s apartment on the 3400 block of 13th Place in southeast Washington.
Authorities said they are still looking for the woman who stabbed the victim. The victim's identity has not been released, but officials said she was in her 30s.
The victim’s 5-year-old daughter may have been in the apartment at the time of the incident, police said, but could have been in a different room.
There is no clear motive at this time, but police are considering it a homicide.
