Woman Raped in Gaithersburg; Police Release Sketch of Suspect

A man raped a woman after leaving a bar with her in Gaithersburg, Maryland, police say.

The 26-year-old woman told Montgomery County police she left Quincy's Bar and Grille at 616 Quince Orchard Road about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday with a man she had met in the bar.

When they were outside, the man forced her to a grassy area near the Quince Orchard Plaza shopping center and raped her, police said.

The man ran off after the assault and the woman drove to her home to report the rape to police.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect (pictured above) and are asking for the public's help to identify him. He is described as a Hispanic man about 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 3 inches and 200 pounds. He was wearing glasses and had facial hair.
