Woman Missing From Ft. Belvoir Found

20-Hour Ground, Water and Air Search

A 27-year-old Ft. Belvoir woman has been found after nearly a full day of ground, water and air searches, said a public affairs rep from the base.

Heather Beatty was reported missing from her Ft. Belvoir residence Sunday. She had last been seen walking into the woods around the base around 5 p.m. that day. InsideNova reported that Beatty's soldier husband reported her missing.

"Military authorities at Fort Belvoir said the woman is with her husband and being medically evaluated at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital," wrote Donald N. Carr, director of public affairs at Fort Belvoir.

Aircraft and military police participated in the search for Beatty, which lasted 20 hours.
