A 30-year-old woman told police she was grabbed and forcefully pulled into a stranger's car Sunday morning in Arlington.

Arlington County police say the woman was jogging in the 3400 block of S. Utah Street in Fairlington around 6 a.m. when a stranger driving a white four-door sedan pulled up next to her, asking for directions.

The woman said the stranger then grabbed her and forcefully pulled her into his vehicle. Police say she was able to fight him off and escape.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with a medium build, brown hair and a goatee. At the time, he was possibly wearing a white T-shirt.

The incident is being investigated as an attempted abduction.
