Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found in Northeast D.C. shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Police responded to the scene in the 1900 block of Fenwick Street NE, near New York Avenue, and found the woman unresponsive and unconscious. She was pronounced dead by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
A determination on the cause of death is pending on an autopsy.
The woman has not been identified.
