Woman Accused in Deadly Crash Has DUI on Record

The suspect was also arrested for driving with a suspended license two months ago

A woman accused in a crash that killed two men in Prince George's County has faced charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license in the past 18 months, according to court records.

The 30-year-old woman is out of custody pending the outcome of of the police investigation.

"In all of these traffic fatalities, the police depertment has to do an accident reconstruction report," said a police spokesman. "It takes about six weeks to do that right."

Monday night's accident happened just before 11 p.m. Monday night, on Riggs Road in Adelphi, Md.

Roy "Alex" Lacayo, 34, of Northeast Washington, and Justo Rosario Jr., 30, of Hyattsville, Md., had been involved in a fender bender and were out of their vehicles exchange insurance information when a woman driving a third vehicle struck them, said police.

Records show that the suspect was arrested on Oct. 24, 2008, on the Beltway near Connecticut Avenue. In January 2009, she pleaded guilty to the DWI charrge and received one year of supervised probation.

On Nov. 13, 2009, the suspect was arrested in Montgomery County for driving with a suspended license. She's scheduled to go to court for that charge next week.

"Everybody thought she wasn't going to get out again," said a relative of Lacayo.
