A 63-year-old woman was found dead inside her Salisbury home, after an apparent home invasion.
Police found the victim, Barbara Greene, early this morning.
Investigators say she was killed after someone apparently broke into the home through the rear door.
Greene’s body was found on the bathroom floor, but police have not determined the cause of death.
The victim’s brother, Reginald Greene, told police he returned home from work sometime after midnight, saw the rear door ajar and bloodstains in the hallway.
He then went to a neighbor’s house and called 911.
An investigation continues, as police try to identify a motive in the case.
