White House Party Crashers' “Worldwide Domination Plan”

Publicity-hungry couple seeks more limelight

Michaele and Tareq Salahi are seeking new opportunities. The Virginia horse-country couple crashed President Barack Obama’s first state dinner, embarrassed the Secret Service, cost the White House Social Secretary her job, appeared on NBC’s Today to explain themselves without explaining themselves, took the Fifth before Congress, and will appear on Bravo’s "The Real Housewives" series. But that’s simply not enough.

They are pitching other proposals, such as their own reality show and a cruise they would host as the stars, according to U.S. News & World Report’s Washington Whispers blog.

"I have lots and lots of irons in the fire for a whole plethora of opportunities for them," their Australia-based spokesman, Max Markson, told Washington Whispers’ Paul Bedard. "It's all part of their Austin Powers worldwide domination plan!"

But why a reality show and a cruise? Why not combine the two? The Salahis would have a captive audience and America could get a look at the sort of folks who would pay good money to be in their orbit. The producers could even add an elimination element, with immunity challenges that include devising the nerviest way to get a seat at the Captain’s table. Suggested name: "Survivor at Sea."
