West Nile Virus Shows Up in District

The West Nile virus has been found in mosquitoes in the District, and officials are warning people to take precautions.

Health officials recently collected samples from North Cleveland Park and the Woodley Park-Adams Morgan area.

They said older people and people with compromised immune systems are most susceptible to the virus. They advise people to wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, and bug repellant at dusk and dawn.
