Weekend Track Work on Metro

Expect delays on the Orange, Blue, Red, Green, and Yellow lines

Metro will continue trackwork on the Orange, Blue, Red, Green and Yellow lines over the weekend. The work begins at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, and continues until late Sunday. Customers should allow extra time for potential delays, according to Metro's website.

On the Orange Line, buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and West Falls Church so that crews can conduct testing associated with the Silver Line extension. Trains between Vienna and West Falls Church will operate at regular weekend intervals, and so will trains between East Falls Church and New Carrollton.

Blue Line trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road, and between Van Dorn Street and Braddock Road. Trains on the Red Line will single track between Forest Glen and Takoma, and between Van Ness and Friendship Heights. Green Line trains will also single track between College Park and Greenbelt. On the Yellow Line, trains will single track between Braddock Road and Huntington.

Keep in mind that Metro's Trip Planner on its website won't reflect the impact of the track work on schedules.
