Watch Your Purse: Man Sought in String of Pickpocket Cases

Police say one man is believed to have stolen as many as 10 wallets out of bags and purses in D.C. -- after he took off his GPS monitoring device.

They say Moses Knight, 20, targets women's purses in particular, and gets away with the crime before women even realize it’s happened.

So far police have 10 reports from women that Knight robbed them. He's been at the purse-stealing scheme for about a month, police said.

He was supposed to be monitored by a GPS tracking device on his ankle, but Capt. William Fitzgerald of the Metropolitan Police Department said Knight has apparently cut it off.

If you've seen him, call D.C. police at 911. Or call the department's anonymous tip line at (202) 727-9099, or text 50411.
