Workers from the Calvert Marine Museum came across an unusual sight Monday Night.
A 9-foot manatee was found dead along the banks of the Patuxent River, just north of Solomons, Md.
It's very rare for manatees to be found that far north. They're usually found in the waters off Florida and in the Caribbean.
The remains were sent to a facility in Silver Hill for testing.
They hope to find out how he found his way to Maryland.
