Virginia Terror Suspect Will Stay Behind Bars

A Virginia man accused of twice trying to join a Somali terror group linked to al-Qaida will stay behind bars.

A detention hearing was held for Zachary Chesser, 20, Monday afternoon.

Chesser is accused of providing material support to the al-Shabab terror group, which claims responsibility for a July 11 bombing in Uganda that killed more than 75 people.

Chesser will be held in custody until his trial.

A trial date has not yet been set.

Chesser is not charged for an online posting saying the creators of the animated series "South Park" risked death by mocking the prophet Muhammad.
