Virginia Teen Suing to Get Off No-Fly List

A Virginia teen is suing Attorney General Eric Holder and other top U.S. officials because he's on the no-fly list.

Gulet Mohamed, 19, was in federal court in Alexandria, Va., and accused FBI agents of torturing and beating him back in 2009.

Mohamed, a U.S. citizen born in Somalia, said he traveled to his home country and Yemen to stay with family.

He then went to Kuwait, where his lawyers said he was arrested, interrogated and beaten by Kuwaiti authorities.

Mohamed said his efforts to return to America were delayed because he was placed on the no-fly list.

The government said his case is moot because he was eventually allowed to fly home, but Mohamed said the underlying issues remain.
